What are you reading right now?

I’m now reading a some great books that have been sitting on my bookshelf for a few months. I love when I pick up a book I’ve owned for a while (and never got around to reading…) and find that it’s the perfect read for that day or week or month!

Right now I’m reading:

1. Loot: The Battle over the Stolen Treasures of the Ancient World by Sharon Waxman.
At first, I felt like I was reading one of my dry Art History text books from college, but once the narratives got rolling it’s fascinating. Hard to put down! Waxman doesn’t offer any easy answers, but examines all sides of the complicated and culturally-sensitive issues.

2. The Corporate Storyteller by Elaine Stirling.
This book delves into an issue that I’ve been particularly interested in lately. Stirling explains why creating an authentic voice is so important for corporations; it means you reach your audience more directly, streamline communications, and write clearly and effectively on every document, from daily e-mails to annual speeches. I read, edit and write lots of corporate communications, and this book’s message has helped hone my personal philosophies.

So, how about you?
Reading any great books right now? Anything you’d recommend?
